In last week's tidbit we discussed some different suggestions to having your home in tip top shape before putting it on the market, as promised here is the second half of those suggestions: 

  1. Buyers love built-in bookshelves.
  2. Curb appeal is vital to attracting buyers.
  3. A nice outdoor deck can be a big selling feature, but an old one is a major liability.
  4. Breathe new life into a worn patio.
  5. Clear out clutter or other personal items that will distract buyers.
  6. A shabby wood-panel wall is not a strong selling point.
  7. Use tape outlines on the floor instead of actually moving furniture around.
  8. Vinyl tile is an inexpensive way to update your home.
  9. Let the sun shine in.
  10. Stage rooms with one purpose…so buyers will know what it is.
  11. Unpleasant pet odors won't win over buyers.
  12. Pack up unnecessary items and furniture before you show the house.
  13. Storage space sells!
  14. Create a nice flow in your rooms.
  15. Create a better flow in the house by starting with the floor.
