As a property rehabber, I’ve used many different ideas for getting a property in top shape. I have 15 for you today and I’ll have 15 more next week. I didn’t include any commentary on each of these, but contact me if you’d like some more specifics.

Some Tips for staging a home:

  1. Grimy bathroom walls are a major red flag to buyers.
  2. Don't replace a yucky shower door: Just scour it.
  3. Avoid dated tile by painting.
  4. Pedestal sinks are a big hit with buyers.
  5. A master bedroom should appeal to both sexes.
  6. Tone down an overpowering brick fireplace with paint?
  7. Updating an old fireplace screen is a cheap (and quick) fix.
  8. Turn an unattractive fireplace into a selling feature by cleaning it and highlighting it with colors.
  9. Stain dated kitchen cabinets instead of replacing them.
  10. Stainless-steel appliances are definitely in with buyers.
  11. Fill existing hardware holes instead of making new, unsightly ones.
  12. Save money on granite countertops. (Ask me how)
  13. New kitchen appliances bring high returns from sellers.
  14. Need to dress up a window but don't want to shell out big bucks for window treatments? Place-mats. ;-)
  15. Adding drama to old hardwood flooring is easier than you might think.

Until next time,
